EN – Hyschools is a cross-cutting educational project financed under the Erasmus+ programme by the European Union with the aim of introducing and increasing Hydrogen knowledge in secondary schools. Hydrogen based technology is, in fact, one of the major players in the desired transition from a carbon based society to a sustainable development and a pollution-free future. Spreading the knowledge of high-efficiency, low-emission technologies such as the ones based on hydrogen is of paramount importance and should be introduced to the new generations in an educational environment as soon as possible. In this task, teachers are the most important and valuable players. As a first step, the project will propose a survey to secondary school teachers to ask them how much do they know about hydrogen and hydrogen based technology and what they think about it. Then, in the second phase, teachers will receive educational material produced from universities to deepen their preparation about this topic. In the final phase they will take part to events where, in collaboration with a group of teachers and experts of the subject, they will structure the backbone of future lesson for their pupils, that will be subsequently inserted in the teaching programme.

ITA – Hyschools è un progetto finanziato dall’Unione Europea nell’ambito del programma Erasmus+ con lo scopo di promuovere nelle scuole di tutta Europa la cultura dell’idrogeno come energia. Le tecnologie basate sull’Idrogeno avranno infatti un ruolo fondamentale nella transizione da una società basata sul carbonio ad un futuro basato sullo sviluppo sostenibile e senza le emissioni nocive per l’ambiente. Diffondere la conoscenza di tecnologie ad alta efficienza e bassa emissione, quali quelle baste sull’idrogeno, è di fondamentale importanza, in particolare tale conoscenza deve essere trasferita alle nuove generazioni nel loro ambiente educativo il prima possibile. In questo processo gli insegnanti hanno un ruolo fondamentale. In una prima fase (IO1), il progetto svilupperà un sondaggio da sottoporre agli insegnanti delle scuole secondarie, per capire l’attuale conoscenza nel corpo insegnante dell’idrogeno e delle tecnologie basate sull’idrogeno. Nella seconda fase (IO2 e IO3), i partner universitari del progetto produrranno del materiale educativo che sarà condiviso con gli insegnanti per poter accrescere la preparazione su questi temi. Partendo dal materiale educativo, i docenti parteciperanno ad alcuni eventi dove, in collaborazione con un facilitatore ed esperi del settore, svilupperanno insieme le future lezioni per gli studenti, lezioni che verranno inserite nel programmi dei corsi.
